It doesn’t mean ignoring work or family duties, but making better use of time spent scrolling social media, for example, could free you up for a workout.
2. Schedule Your Workouts
Just like you schedule meetings and family activities, make sure you block time for your fitness routine. Treat these workouts as important appointments, not optional activities.
3. Involve Your Family
Who said workouts have to be a solo act? Involve your family. Play a fun game of soccer with your children. Or promote a morning jog with your partner. Fitness as a family activity not only gets you moving but also lets you spend quality time together.
4. Don’t Ignore Rest
Rest is an important aspect of your health and fitness. Not getting enough sleep can hamper your productivity at work, affect your mood at home, and sabotage your workout results. So make sure you’re getting enough z’s!
5. Keep it Flexible
Just like life, your routine doesn’t always go to plan. Be flexible with your workout schedule. If you miss a morning workout, try to fit in some activity later in the day. Or if you’ve had an extremely busy day, a short, intense workout can be just as beneficial.
Trying to find that perfect balance can be tricky but remember, it’s about making progress, not achieving perfection.
