But sometimes, sticking to a healthy eating plan can be really hard. Life gets busy, we get tired, and before we know it, we’re backsliding into old habits. What’s the secret to staying consistent with healthy eating? Let’s take a look.
Tips for Staying on Track
1. Plan Your Meals: Knowing what you’re going to eat ahead of time makes it easier to stick to your plan. Spend a little time each week planning your meals and writing a shopping list.
2. Prep Food in Advance: Prepare food at the beginning of the week to save time and ensure you always have a healthy meal waiting for you.
3. Create a Healthy Environment: Get rid of all the junk food in your house. If the temptation is not there, it’s easier to eat the better option.
4. Don’t Skip Meals: Skipping meals can leave you feeling extreme hunger which will lead to overeating. Preferring three balanced meals per day can keep your metabolism healthy.
5. Listen to Your Body: Eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full. Learn to distinguish between actual hunger and emotional hunger.
