How to Stay Motivated When You’re Exhausted
Feeling Stuck? Here’s How to Stay Motivated Even When You’re Exhausted
Are you feeling run down, worn out, just flat out tired of your workout routine? Let’s talk about how to keep your motivation when your energy levels are at their lowest.
Listen to Your Body
Your body is like a car. You need to re-fuel to keep it running. If you’ve hit an energy wall, it might mean that you’re pushing too hard without getting the rest you need. It’s okay to take a day off to recharge.
Set Smaller Goals
Sometimes, when we get tired, big goals can seem like mountains. If that one hour of hard-hitting workout seems impossible, break it down. Try ten minutes. Then take a break. Then try ten minutes more. You’ll be surprised at how much you can actually do.
Find Your Cheerleaders
Remember, you’re not alone on this fitness journey. This gym is filled with people who know exactly what you’re going through. Find your cheerleaders. Those are the people who will cheer you on, keep you accountable, and make you laugh even on your toughest days.
Remember Your ‘Why’
Why did you start on this fitness journey? Remembering your “why” can help give you the energy to keep going. Maybe you want to live a healthier life. Or stand a little taller. Or keep up with your kids or your grandkids. Keep that reason in mind and use it as your fuel.
Embrace the Journey
You started this for a reason, remember? Rekindle that initial spark of motivation by focusing on the journey, not just the destination. It’s not always about hitting the goal, but about appreciating each step you take to get there.
